These tacos are quick to make and will be gone in a matter of minutes because they are the bomb! Pineapple combines nicely with the BBQ marinated jackfruit. You can choose to buy store bought pre-marinated such as Upton Naturals Bar-B-Que Jackfruit or buy unseasoned jackfruit and your favourite BBQ sauce. Marinate the jackfruit for 30 minutes in the fridge before cooking.

  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 packages BBQ jackfruit
  • 1/2 cup pineapple, cut into small chunks
  • 1 jalapeño, thinly sliced
  • cilantro (optional for serving)
  • 6 flour tortillas

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 packages BBQ jackfruit such as Upton Naturals Bar-B-Que Jackfruit
  • 1/2 cup pineapple cut into small chunks
  • 1 jalapeño thinly sliced
  • cilantro optional for serving
  • 6 flour tortillas

Instructions

  • Heat a medium pan over medium heat and add extra virgin olive oil. Add BBQ jackfruit and fry for 8 to 10 minutes until heated.
  • Divide BBQ jackfruit among the six flour tortillas.
  • Add pineapple, sliced jalapeño and cilantro to tacos & serve!

  • Having trouble finding BBQ jackfruit at the grocery store? Buy unseasoned jackfruit and your favourite BBQ sauce and marinate in the fridge for 30 minutes before cooking.
